What data we collect
Server logs record your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps when you browse the site. These logs help us understand which day trips from Reykjavik or northern lights tour Iceland pages are most useful.
GetYourGuide widgets on pages like Blue Lagoon tickets and Golden Circle tour set cookies to show live availability and prices. These cookies are managed by GetYourGuide and Travelpayouts, not by us.
Affiliate tracking uses URL parameters (sub_id) when you click a booking button. This tells GetYourGuide which page sent you, so we earn a commission if you complete a booking.
How we use your information
We use server logs to improve page structure and internal links between tour topics. Logs are stored for 90 days, then deleted.
This helps us connect related pages like glacier hike Iceland and ice cave Iceland more effectively.
Cookies from booking widgets enable the calendar and card displays you see on tour pages. You can disable third-party cookies in your browser, but availability calendars will not load.
Affiliate parameters do not identify you personally. They only track which page (for example, whale watching Reykjavik or Iceland volcano tour) led to a booking.
No user accounts or direct bookings
This site does not require registration, accounts, or passwords. You do not book tours with us directly.
All bookings happen on GetYourGuide after you click a button. Their privacy policy governs payment details, booking confirmation emails, and tour vouchers.
We never receive your name, email address, card details, or travel dates from GetYourGuide.
Your rights and contact
You can request deletion of any server log entries that contain your IP address by emailing hello@icelandtourscompared.com. Include the date and approximate time of your visit.
For questions about cookies set by booking widgets, contact GetYourGuide or Travelpayouts directly. We do not control those third-party systems.
This policy applies only to icelandtourscompared.com. Links to Iceland tours on other domains are governed by their own privacy terms.
